Cincinnati Compatriots Attend Ceremony at the Saratoga Battlefield

Cincinnati SAR Compatriot Shaun Smith and Cincinnati SAR President Jack Bredenfoerder where guest members of the Saratoga Battlefield SAR Color Guard for a memorial service at the Saratoga Battlefield. The ceremony was held on Sunday, September 16th and was sponsored by the Saratoga Battle Chapter SAR, The Saratoga Chapter DAR and Saratoga area C.A.R. Compatriot Smith laid a wreath on behalf of the New Hampshire Society and President Bredenfoerder laid wreaths on behalf of the Cincinnati SAR and the Germany Society SAR. Compatriot Smith has several patriot ancestors who fought at the Battle of Saratoga. For this reason, he memorialized their service by becoming a dual member of the Saratoga Battle Chapter SAR. The Cincinnati Chapter thanks the Saratoga Battle Chapter SAR for their hospitality and a fine tribute to those who fought in this important Revolutionary War battle.
